My name is Mark Frauenfelder. See all that cool stuff on the shelf behind me? I scammed most of it for FREE!

I did the drawings and layout for the Net Chick Clubhouse. Every minute at the computer was pure joy. Of course, I have to thank Carla Sinclair for thinking up the site, and Sonic at Cyborganic for her fine production talents.

I'm Associate Editor of Wired, where I edit the the "Electric Word" and "Scans" sections of the magazine. Software companies, book publishers, movie studios and other vendors send me tons of stuff to review. It's fun getting all that stuff, even if most of it is junk.

I'm also the executive editor and art director of bOING bOING, a media-culture magazine I started with Carla in 1988.

Carla and I (and Gareth branwyn, Will Kreth and Georgia Rucker) created a book called THE HAPPY MUTANT HANDBOOK, which is on bookstore shelves RIGHT NOW.
